The School District of Jefferson is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant III - Bookkeeper in the District Office. This position is a high level administrative assistant position that provides financial and secretarial leadership which will support the District Office administration.
The Bookkeeper''s duties include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable
Purchasing
General accounting
Fixed assets inventory/maintenance
Property and liability insurance
District activity accounting
Banking/Cash handling
Administrative Assistant to the Director of Business Services
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Ability to work independently and problem solve issues
Excellent math, data entry, and accounting skills
Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Organization, communication, and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills including kindness, empathy, and compassion
Driven, resourceful, and knowledgeable of school district processes
Background in use of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Google Suite, and Skyward financial Software
