The School District of Jefferson is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant II - Business Office/Purchasing in the District Office. This position''s primary responsibility is to provide administrative and secretarial leadership to our District Office and support District Office administrators, in particular the Director of Business Services and Building and Grounds Director.
Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Director of Business Services with office and operational functions
- Answering the phone, taking messages, and greeting visitors to the District Office
- Processing district-wide purchasing and receiving
- Maintaining and updating databases, including certificates of insurance, approved vendors, facility use and purchasing procedures
- Supporting district vehicle and fleet management, including transportation procedures
- Administrative Assistant III - Bookeeper backup
- Cash handling
- Support the Director of Buildings and Grounds

- Driven, resourceful, and knowledgeable of school district processes
- Excellent communication skills with staff, students and parents
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Organization, communication, and time management skills
- Background in the use of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Google Suite, and Skyward Financial Software
