Position: Administrative Assistant for Personnel & Human Resources
Location: Central Administration Office
Schedule: Twelve-month position 8:00-3:30 p.m.

Job Description: This position serves as an integral member of the Central Office team, requiring strong interpersonal skills and computer skills in order to work in a variety of software databases in order to support the hiring process and fiscal affairs of the district in an accurate and expeditious manner.
Qualifications:
Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Process all aspects of onboarding including background checks, including SAFIS fingerprinting monitoring and CORI/SORI processing for all school district personnel 2.Maintain and update as needed all electronic personnel files documenting position changes, personnel hiring contracts, responses to FMLA or other leave requests, termination, and any other relevant data and ensure employees receive notification of any changes. 3.Process I-9s for Citizen/US Work Status Verification and maintain these records in a secure and confidential manner, while also conducting periodic internal audits for any possible errors, and make the necessary corrections. 4.Process end-of-year letters to all new and returning substitutes, and other relevant employee changes in positions or locations for the coming school year. 5.Verify and maintain contractual records for all personnel, in addition to seniority lists, sick leave bonus letters and salary advancements for MTA, AFSCME, and Non-Union employees. 6.Audit employee attendance and support employees in order to reduce errors, and then providing the necessary data to payroll to ensure employees are paid properly. 7.Ability to run reports through an online platform to track all personal, professional, jury duty, funeral, military maternity, and any other leaves granted by the district 8.Manage employee leave according to the 7 union contracts to ensure employees receive the appropriate amount of leave and leave balances are transferred at the end of the school year. 9.Work with the Director of Human Resources to update the substitute handbook on an annual basis. 10.Manage work permits as necessary. 11.Process Injury Reports/Workers' Compensation as necessary. 12.Process verification of employment/salaries as necessary. 13.Prepare and submit the Unfunded Compensation report for Town Hall and the Government Questionnaire for the Town Treasurer. 14.Responsible for preparing monthly reports related to hiring needs for the School Business Administrator and School Committee, including information such as recent hire, stipends assigned, and resignations. 15.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent, School Business Administrator or Director of Human Resources.
