Looking for a flexible part-time opportunity with room to grow into a long-term career?
Cor-Ben Consultants is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our close-knit team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying organized, learning new things, and supporting a business that helps people navigate important healthcare and insurance decisions.
We aren't looking for someone who already knows the insurance industry-we're looking for someone eager to learn. If you're naturally organized, enjoy working with computers, and take pride in getting the details right, we'll teach you the rest.
This position begins as a 20-hour-per-week role with the potential to grow into a full-time career, including opportunities for professional licensing and advancement.
What You'll Do
As our Administrative Assistant, you'll help keep our office running smoothly by supporting our Medicare and individual health insurance operations. Responsibilities include:
- Entering and maintaining customer information with a high degree of accuracy
- Researching prescription drug and provider information using online insurance platforms
- Tracking customer communications and documentation
- Preparing information for client appointments
- Sending and monitoring emails and correspondence
- Answering incoming phone calls and directing inquiries appropriately
- Assisting with filing, document management, and general office organization
- Providing administrative support to our leadership team during busy enrollment seasons
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who: - Is highly organized and enjoys detail-oriented work
- Learns quickly and isn't afraid to ask questions
- Has strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic Excel
- Is dependable, punctual, and takes pride in being reliable
- Communicates professionally with clients and coworkers
- Thrives in a relaxed, drama-free work environment
- Wants to build a career rather than simply find a temporary job
Previous insurance or healthcare experience is not required. In fact, we're happy to train someone who brings the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Schedule - Approximately 20 hours per week
- Preferred schedule is generally 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some flexibility
- Opportunity to transition into a full-time position as business needs grow
Compensation - $21.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Growth Opportunities
Many successful insurance professionals began in administrative roles just like this one. If you're interested in growing your career, we'll support your development, including opportunities to obtain your insurance license and learn the Medicare and health insurance industry from experienced professionals.
Why Cor-Ben?
At Cor-Ben Consultants, we've built a workplace where people enjoy coming to work. We value flexibility, teamwork, accountability, and treating both coworkers and clients with respect. We work hard during our busy seasons, support one another, and believe a positive, drama-free culture is one of our greatest strengths.
