Full Job Description
AFC Urgent Care is seeking an Administrative Assistant with exceptional organizational abilities, administrative skills and attention to detail to become part of our team. AFC Urgent Care is the leading provider of urgent care with more than 300 centers nationally.
The primary responsibility of the Administrative Assistant is to perform administrative and operational support functions with accuracy, efficiency, and customer care while supporting the day-to-day operations of the company. The Administrative Assistant is expected to perform with the highest degree of professionalism, attention to detail, dependability, and customer service while performing day-to-day functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Process insurance payments and related documentation received by fax, mail, and email.
2. Process patient payments, checks, money orders, and insurance updates.
3. Sort, scan, organize, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence in a timely manner.
4. Process returned mail and update information as needed.
5. Process W-9 requests and related documentation.
6. Process itemized statement requests and provide requested documentation.
7. Monitor and respond to assigned Collectly inbox messages and administrative requests.
8. Maintain accurate and organized administrative records and documentation.
9. Provide general administrative support and complete additional duties as assigned.
10. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling patient, financial, and company information.
11. Assist with special projects and execute assigned duties as required.
Requirements include:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and discretion.
· Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA.
· Minimum two (2) years of administrative or office support experience.
· Experience in healthcare or multi-site business operations is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
Flexible scheduling, you pick the days and hours that work best for you. Weekday availability preferred, with an expected schedule of approximately 12–20 hours per week.
