Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the billing and revenue cycle team to ensure efficient andaccurateprocessing of billing-related activities. This roleassistswith documentation, data entry, account support, and communication with internal teams and patients. The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting workflow efficiency andmaintainingthe integrity of operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the revenue cycle team
Assistwith data entry and maintenance of patient information in the practice management system
Prepare, organize, and distribute documents and reports
Support claim submission processes and ensure required documentation is complete
Answer incoming calls and route appropriately
Track and log correspondence, including incoming mail, faxes, and electronic communications
Assistwith payment posting support and reconciliation tasks as needed
Maintainaccurateand organized files (electronic and paper) for records
Assistwith AR, coding, and patient access teams to support issue resolution
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies when handling patient information
Identifyworkflow inefficiencies or documentation gaps and escalate to leadership
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative or healthcare office experience
Basic understanding of medical billing or revenue cycle processes
Experience with computer systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational and customer service skills
Preferred:
Experience in oncology or specialty healthcare setting
Familiarity with practice management systems and EHR platforms
Exposure to insurance claims processing or billing workflows
