JOB DESCRIPTION

Administrative Assistant III - The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the Administrative Assistant III position within the Program Operations Division. This position provides administrative support and technical assistance to Fiscal Support and Oversight staff engaged in fiscal monitoring.

Key Duties Include:

  • Preparing correspondence, reports, and documentation
  • Coordinating meetings, teleconferences, and schedules
  • Managing filing systems and tracking processes
  • Supporting data analysis and report generation
  • Handling confidential information

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains office procedures and administrative controls
  • Develops, edits, and distributes correspondence and reports
  • Coordinates meetings and documents outcomes
  • Develops and manages tracking systems
  • Compiles and analyzes reports
  • Responds to inquiries and provides customer service
  • Maintains records and electronic filing systems

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and accounting practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

INITIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

Three years of full-time administrative support experience. Graduation from high school or equivalent required.

This is a temporary position.
