Job Description:
This position is assigned to the Retail Food Program within the Food Safety Division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA).
The Retail Food Program helps ensure the safety and sanitation of food by inspecting regulated retail food establishments across the state, including grocery stores, bakeries, seafood markets, convenience stores, salvage operations, mobile meat trucks, and rolling stores. Under direct supervision, the Administrative Assistant provides critical day-to-day administrative support to assist the Program Manager and program operations. This role involves processing documentation, managing records, coordinating communication, and supporting overall program efficiency and effectiveness. Success in this position requires professionalism, attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills.
This is an office position located at the Georgia Department of Agriculture headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
