This position is full time but a temporary position, the person filling this role will only work up to 120 calendar days and is not guaranteed future employment beyond 120 days.

The Administrative Assistant 2 will work under the guidance of the Director and play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department. They will assist with recruiting, prepare and process forms, manage inquiries, and maintain organized electronic and physical files. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Associate degree from an accredited educational institution in a related field and two (2) years' experience in human resources, administrative/clerical support, word/data processing or information management OR high school graduate or equivalent and four (4) years' experience in administrative/clerical support, word/data processing or information management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and SharePoint, is essential.
  • Advanced knowledge of common office computer applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and processing information, including numerical data.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Oracle financials and HRIS systems is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code is preferred but can be developed on the job.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing schedules.
  • Assist with the recruiting process, from updating vacancy logs to scheduling interviews and assessing skills.
  • Prepare and process various forms, documents, and resolutions for personnel actions.
  • Maintain and update electronic files, shared drives, and SharePoint, ensuring easy access to important documents.
  • Support the county''s learning management system by managing course content, user enrollment, and troubleshooting.
  • Organize and store documents, both physically and digitally, ensuring efficient retrieval and access.
  • Manage records retention, ensuring accurate updates, monitoring, and secure handling of sensitive information.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, reservations, and related reimbursements as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for processing invoices and vouchers, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to the evolving needs of the HR department.
