This role provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to a department, requiring strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of internal policies and procedures. The assistant serves as a key point of contact for visitors and staff, handling inquiries, resolving routine issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence and reports, as well as preparing a variety of administrative documents.
The position also involves coordinating meetings, events, travel, and appointments for supervisors, while maintaining calendars and managing logistics. The assistant supports internal communication by acting as a liaison with other departments and helps prepare reports by gathering and analyzing basic data. In addition, the role includes maintaining records, databases, and filing systems, as well as handling incoming and outgoing mail and ensuring timely responses to routine inquiries.
