Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

We're looking for an undergraduate to join our Finance Operations team, with a focus in Accounts Receivable as an Accounts Specialist Undergraduate. You will have the chance to develop your finance operations experience while supporting customer account integrity, reconciliations, transactional investigations and process improvement across VWFS. If you're eager to kick-start your career, possess a good understanding of finance operations, customer account processes and accurate financial data, and have a genuine passion for the field, we want to hear from you!
What will you be doing?
Reconcile sales ledger balance sheet accounts relating to Rent-a-Car and customer portfolios.
Investigate and resolve Net Debt and Unmatched Cash transactions within agreed targets.
Identify customer refunds within defined refund rules and support accurate customer account outcomes.
Build technical knowledge of Contract Management System, SAP FI and Excel while improving product knowledge.
Use root cause analysis to identify process enhancements and support training across operational areas.
Support documentation, UAT activity, business requirements and change requests where required.
What are we looking for?
Currently studying a finance, accounting, business or related degree that requires a placement year.
Proficient with Microsoft applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills beneficial.
Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate complex business process issues.
Highly numerate, accurate and organised, with a methodical approach to work.
Confident communicator who can collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
Self-motivated team player who is reliable, responsible and open to new challenges.
Interest in process improvement, operational excellence and customer account integrity.
