Accounting Specialist

Atlas OT is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to join our growing team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>

<\/div>

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

<\/span><\/li>

• Perform general bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records

<\/span><\/li>

• Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations in a timely manner

<\/span><\/li>

• Support daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor maintenance, and internal control compliance to ensure accurate and timely payments

<\/span><\/li>

• Support sales tax filings and compliance (preferred experience)

<\/span><\/li>

• Collaborate with internal teams and report directly to the VP of Operations

<\/span><\/li>

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, 1099 reporting requirements, and audit standards while supporting internal and external audit requests.

• Complete month-end AP/AR accruals and related close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate and complete.

• Identify, recommend, implement, and document process improvements, best practices, and system enhancements to strengthen AP operations and service delivery.

Working with all major brands, Rockwell, Siemens, Opto22, Red Lion, Schneider and more. Supporting all industries including energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, water/wastewater, building automation, oil and gas, renewable, pharmaceuticals and more.

Requirements<\/h3>5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AP/AR)

<\/span><\/li>Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho preferred, or similar)

<\/span><\/li>Strong GAAP accounting knowledge preferred

<\/span><\/li>Multi State Filings Sales Tax experience preferred

<\/span><\/li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills

<\/span><\/li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

<\/span><\/li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills

<\/span><\/li>Construction, Engineering, Procurement industry experience preferred

<\/span><\/li>Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment

<\/span><\/li>Available 20-30 hours per week with flexibility on scheduling
