Accounting Manager
Location: Buffalo, NY | Full-Time
UB Associates is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights that support organizational goals. What You’ll Do:
Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting to support strategic decisions.
Ensure compliance with SOX, tax regulations, and other relevant standards.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, promoting best practices in financial management.
Prepare and interpret financial reports for management and collaborate with external auditors.
Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, etc.) for efficient operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MBA preferred.
Proven experience in corporate, public, or non-profit accounting.
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience mentoring or training staff is highly desirable.
