Title: Accounting Analyst - Hybrid
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Hybrid 3x week in Milwaukee with Tuesdays and Wednesdays the mandatory in office days.

Description:
The Accounting Analyst prepares, maintains, and reports a complete and systematic set of records supporting the company's business and financial transactions. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile, calculate, balance, reconcile, and correct financial information using various accounting software (e.g., ECIS, SAP, bank cash accounts).
- Prepare, analyze, and assemble both external (FERC, PSCW, MPSC) and internal (corporate balance sheet, income statement, financial/statistical reports) financial reports.
- Reconcile and resolve discrepancies, communicating findings with business units and making necessary corrections.
- Provide support for business units and the Impact system.
- Prepare periodic reports and statements.
- Support new and ongoing corporate initiatives (e.g., close the books faster, FERC support).
- Investigate and answer questions throughout the reporting process.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.
Qualifications
- At least one year of post-secondary credit hours (including two accounting courses) plus two years of recent accounting experience with demonstrated electronic spreadsheet skills; OR
- Two years of post-secondary credit hours (including four accounting courses) with demonstrated electronic spreadsheet skills, completed within the last five years.
Skills & Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory systems (FERC, ECIS, MPSC, PSCW) and related accounts.
- Proficiency in software such as the MS Office Suite, SAP, or other enterprise software solutions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical & Work Environment
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional light physical activity (lifting 10-15 lbs, bending, standing, etc.).
- Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
- Not a lead or supervisory position.

- Regular interaction with various departments (payroll, fossil, cash investments, etc.), business unit representatives, auditors, regulators, banks, and the Impact Support Team for reconciliation, problem resolution, and compliance matters.
