Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with M&A and Consolidations to join a growing Accounting team in San Diego. This role plays a critical part in managing complex consolidations, M&A and intercompany transactions, and financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong command of GAAP/IFRS, and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements across multiple business units and regions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting requirements
- Assist with preparation of supporting schedules and audit-ready documentation
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across multiple subsidiaries
- Perform and review complex account reconciliations, including multi-currency activity
- Partner with Tax to support transfer pricing and accurate intercompany allocations
- Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with IT and Finance to enhance workflows and accounting system functionality
- Work closely with FP&A, Tax, and Legal teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
- Provide financial insights to support acquisitions, investments, and overall business growth
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with detailed financial analysis
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in a corporate or multi-entity accounting environment
- Strong expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and multi-entity consolidations
- Hands-on experience with M&A accounting
- Advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
- Ability to manage complex intercompany and multi-currency transactions
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team contributor
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience supporting M&A transactions and post-merger integration
- CPA or progress toward certification a plus
- Big 4 experience highly desirable
- Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts
