STARK is seeking to hire an Account Associate for our New York City showroom. This is a developmental, client-facing role designed to support our Account Managers while building the foundation for a long-term career in luxury sales and the interior design trade.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a comprehensive training program focused on sales fundamentals, product knowledge, and client service.
- Provide exceptional front desk and showroom coverage, ensuring a high-quality client experience.
- Provide sales and administrative support to Account Managers throughout the sales process.
- Work closely with Account Managers to learn additional skills, assist with pre-sale tasks, and share ideas.
- Support showroom coverage for out-of-town showrooms as needed.
- Engage in continuous learning to strengthen skills, contribute to team success, and foster adaptability.
- Operate in accordance with standard best practices and STARK’s Core Values.
- Serve as a positive contributor to company culture.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Prior carpet experience is ideal.
- Industry-related experience and/or luxury brand experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in the interior design trade with excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- Experience in the design industry preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (Interior Design or related field preferred) and/or a minimum of 2 years of retail or to-the-trade sales experience.
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a sales environment.
