Access Control / CCTV Tech

Seeking an experienced licensed CCTV/Alarm tech to join a growing partner of ours. This role has room for growth and the opportunity to lead a team. Full time, direct hire opportunity that requires some travel in Oklahoma and Texas.

MUST have an active Oklahoma Manager License.


Job Title: Access Control/CCTV Tech
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and service structured cabling, IP security cameras, and electronic access control systems at client sites across Oklahoma and Texas.
• Mount, configure, and test IP cameras and NVR/DVR platforms, including remote access and retention settings. Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
• Install and wire controllers, readers, maglocks, electric strikes, and request-to-exit devices. Configure access control software, verify fail-safe/fail-secure operation, and assist with credential setup.
• Install, terminate, test, and certify Cat6/Cat6A and fiber cabling. Install racks, patch panels, switches, and PoE equipment; configure VLANs and IP addressing for security devices.
• Maintain as-builts, labeling, IP records, cable paths, and system configurations. Report field conditions and design deviations to project leadership. Ensure work meets Oklahoma alarm industry regulations and applicable building and electrical codes.

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma Alarm Industry Company Manager License (Qualifying Agent) in Burglar Alarm, CCTV, and Access Control, in good standing with the Oklahoma Department of Labor Alarm, Locksmith & Fire Sprinkler Industry Division.
• 3–5 years installing CCTV, access control, and structured cabling, including IP-based systems and PoE.
• Technical knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals; ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and system layouts.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Certifications:

• ESA Certified Alarm Technician (CAT)
• BICSI Installer
• OSHA 10/30
• Manufacturer certifications (Axis, Hanwha, Verkada, Ubiquiti, etc.)

Travel & Working Conditions:

• Frequent travel to client sites in Oklahoma and Texas (up to 50%), with occasional overnights for multi-day deployments.
• Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement per policy.
• Work in commercial, industrial, and institutional sites, including ladders, lifts, attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional extended hours during cutovers.

How success is measured:

• On-schedule installations, low post-install service issues, accurate documentation, and ongoing compliance with licensing, safety, and code requirements.
