Role summary: The Senior Director, Technical Program Management, leads the strategic planning and execution of complex, enterprise-wide technical programs. This role drives alignment across stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology solutions while optimizing resources and mitigating risks. The position requires expertise in system design, program development, and cross-functional leadership to deliver high-impact outcomes. About the team: The Customer Data & Identity (CDI) team is a strategic platform organization dedicated to enabling Walmart to securely unify, govern, and activate customer data and identity across the enterprise. This team drives trusted, personalized, and intelligent customer experiences at scale by leveraging advanced program management, technical design, and stakeholder engagement. Members collaborate across functions to develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance customer outcomes across the enterprise. The team fosters a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and leadership to deliver impactful programs aligned with business goals and customer needs.
What you'll do:- Lead the development and execution of complex technical programs across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and strategies.
- Define and implement program frameworks, identifying synergies and eliminating redundancies to optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build consensus on business and technology solutions, addressing dependencies and performance challenges.
- Oversee system design and architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by scouting industry best practices and integrating automation to enhance efficiency.
- Manage and mentor team members on technical and program management practices to foster high performance.
- Communicate program status and risks effectively to executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
What you'll bring:- Extensive experience in program and project management, including development and implementation of complex, large-scale strategic programs.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple teams and executive levels.
- Strong technical expertise in system design, architecture, cloud infrastructure, and software lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in risk management, resource optimization, and financial oversight within program lifecycles.
- Excellent communication skills to present data-driven insights and unify teams around shared goals.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
