    Front of House Manager (FOH Manager) – JINYA Ramen Bar Job Summary The Front of House Manager serves as an ambassador of the JINYA Ramen Bar brand, ensuring service, hospitality, and guest experience consistently exceed company standards. This role provides daily leadership, motivation, and operational oversight to front-of-house team members while supporting overall restaurant success.The FOH Manager acts as a key liaison between guests and operations, leading by example while maintaining excellence in service standards, cleanliness, safety, and team development.Primary Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Excellence Maintain exceptional service and hospitality standards through consistent execution of JINYA's steps of serviceMonitor guest experience and respond promptly and professionally to concernsEnsure guests receive a welcoming, positive, and memorable dining experienceFront of House Operations & Safety Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant front-of-house environmentEnforce sanitation, food safety, and beverage handling standardsOversee cleanliness and safety protocols in guest-facing areasEnsure proper beverage and service preparation procedures are followedTeam Leadership & Development Lead, train, and develop front-of-house team membersSupport coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operationsProvide daily guidance, coaching, and performance feedbackAdminister fair and consistent corrective actions when neededCross-train team members to improve operational efficiencyScheduling & Labor Management Create front-of-house schedules based on sales forecasts and business needsManage staffing levels to meet labor cost objectivesCoordinate breaks and shift coverageInventory, Ordering & Cost Control Order beverage supplies and bar inventory in a timely and cost-effective mannerConduct inventory counts and maintain proper stock levelsControl beverage costs by minimizing waste and following recipes and storage proceduresEquipment & Facility Oversight Schedule and monitor repairs and maintenance for front-of-house equipmentConduct routine inspections and follow preventative maintenance programsEnsure equipment remains clean and in excellent working conditionOperations Coordination & Leadership Coordinate daily front-of-house and back-of-house operationsReview sales goals, service execution, and product quality with managementWork closely with the General Manager and leadership team to meet revenue, labor, food, and beverage objectivesCulture & Company Values Promote and execute JINYA's mission, values, vision, and cultureComplete additional managerial tasks as assignedRequired Competencies Minimum 2 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience (high-volume preferred)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing labor, inventory, and service standardsKnowledge of POS systems such as ALOHA or similar platformsBasic computer proficiency including scheduling and reporting toolsStrong mathematical skills for inventory and cost controlsDependable, reliable, and self-motivatedAbility to inspire teamwork and lead by exampleExperience working in multicultural environmentsFlexible availability including weekends and holidaysMust be 21 years of age or olderEducation & Certifications High school diploma preferred (college coursework a plus)Ability to read, write, and speak English (Spanish a plus)Must obtain and maintain all required local, state, and federal certifications including alcohol service and food handling permitsWork Environment This role operates in a high-energy, professional restaurant environment with frequent movement between guest areas and service stations.
