Position Summary: Work directly with the Depot Manager and Depot Supervisor in coordinating the receiving and processing of all inbound freight; supervise, guide, and direct leads and warehouse personnel to ensure all inbound freight is offloaded, processed, sorted, palletized and loaded in a timely manner; inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and miss-routed packages; communicate with managers, leads, and package handlers; coordinate warehouse changes and make adjustments as needed; assist with training new personnel as well as review current/new procedures with staff; estimate pallets weights prior to loading to ensure trucks are below GVWR requirements; communicate with inbound drivers to estimate volumes, assign dock doors, and ensure timely arrivals to the office; perform other related duties as required. The GLS network consists of over 120 hubs and more than 1,600 depots, supported by more than 36,700 vans, light vehicles and walkers, and 6,400 trucks.
