OFFICE VISITS: Performs nursing visits including but not limited to: urinary catheter insertions/changes, bladder scans, allergy injections, NSTs, administration of medications and vaccinations, insertion of IVs and administration of intravenous infusions, takes vitals, performs EKGs, placement of heart holter monitors, wound care, glucose monitoring education, ear irrigation, and suture/staple removal. TRIAGE ROLE: Functions in the role of triage nurse, which involves providing in person and telephone support to patients during office hours including: Assessment of symptoms for various medical problems with the ability to determine if the patient should follow up with a physician or seek emergent care.
