The job of an electrician is unique in that it requires an individual that can quickly switch between differing tasks ranging from lighting and receptacle hook-ups, installing wire way racks, rebuilding equipment, installing electronic controls, lighting maintenance, performing preventative maintenance, or welding of studs for mounting equipment. Successful completion of an electrical, technical, mechanical or vocational program; related military training; OR at least 1 year of experience as a commercial, residential, industrial or marine electrician / related experience in mechanical, carpentry, auto mechanics, roofing or computer/IT.
