Performs the duties of unit secretary, including maintaining patient charts, responding to phone calls, maintaining the daily assignment board, providing equipment care/cleaning, performing errands associated with patient care, and providing accurate information to the interdisciplinary team. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
