p>QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: ⢠High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background ⢠25 years of age required per FMCSA regulations (2 years driving experience required) ⢠Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License ⢠Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse ⢠Must reside within 50 miles of the domiciled terminal and/or work assignment ⢠Must be able to drive a tractor trailer for a period of time that will conform to FMCSA requirements ⢠Stable employment history preferred ⢠Must pass a road test ⢠Ability to meet the FMCSA's requirements to speak and read English ⢠Must be able to drive in a wide range of environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, rain, wind, and hot weather ⢠Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct ⢠Must be able to interact well with others ⢠Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting ⢠Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities ⢠Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines ⢠Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check ⢠Must be authorized to work in the United States. ⢠Post trip inspection reports at end of shift ⢠Complete and sign E logs at end of shift ⢠Complete daily housekeeping, cleaning and trash removal from cab of truck at the end of every shift ⢠Check in with dispatcher prior to leaving for the day ⢠Meet delivery schedules ⢠Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts ⢠Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process ⢠Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures ⢠Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions ⢠Must adhere to all FMCSA requirements of those holding a Commercial Driver's License ⢠Will not be allowed to handle hazmat loads in any quantity ⢠Ensure security of equipment and cargo ⢠Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip and at the end of each trip ⢠Maintains thankful, respectful, polite, and courteous attitude and provides professional and courteous service to our customers, fellow employees and to the general public ⢠Other duties as assigned.
