Responsible for overall design of cooling fans Aerodynamic design analysis using STAR-CCM+ CFD software Work with Thermal Design and Noise & Vibration teams to meet air flow and acoustic requirements Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate fan modules into system while balancing competing requirements, including aesthetics, manufacturability, reliability, cost, and environmental impact Create 3D models and 2D drawings to capture detailed design intent and establish specifications Detailed mechanical design of modules and relevant DFM Plan, coordinate, analyze, and summarize results of experiments to validate design concepts Identify root cause and corrective actions to address performance, quality, and reliability failures Working with module vendors and tooling engineers to ensure that implementation is in line with design intentBSME Degree Experience in Engineering Analysis of aerodynamic designs using CFD software Typically requires 5+ years of mechanical part design experience in any of the following: injection molding, stamping, forging, die casting, CNC, etc. Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment with self-motivation to identify and drive resolution on design issues across multiple projects Strong analytical/problem-solving skills using systematic and structured approaches Track record of work in mechanical or hardware related fields: design, manufacturing, operations, reliability, etc.
