p>Appropriately trained individuals may perform inspection, maintenance of inventories, and service record and provide support with pressure monitoring, auto-transfusion, laboratory functions such a point-of-care testing (POCT), equipment maintenance and servicing such as cleaning, sterilization, assembling, calibrating and testing, troubleshooting, requisitioning and recording of inspections and maintenance. The Anesthesia Technologist performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in the acquisition, preparation, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia to patients ranging from infants to geriatric.
