Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily dirtwork operations, including excavation, grading, trenching, and soil compaction Manage and lead a crew of equipment operators and laborers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to guide the team in executing tasks accurately and efficiently Monitor equipment usage and maintenance needs, coordinating repairs or replacements to minimize downtime Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to report progress, challenges, and resource requirements Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with environmental and safety regulations Train and mentor crew members to improve skills, productivity, and safety awareness Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours for reporting and billing purposes. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in heavy equipment operation or construction management Experience with GPS and laser-guided grading technology Familiarity with environmental regulations related to soil erosion and sediment control First Aid and CPR certification Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
