<p>Purvis Gray is seeking a skilled Tax Senior to join our Business Tax Services team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful tax engagements for privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. We take pride in developing talent, delivering exceptional service, and building long-term relationships.</p><h2>What You'll Do</h2><ul><li>Assist Managers and Partners in planning, executing, and finalizing tax engagements </li><li>Prepare and review individuals (Form 1040 and 1041), Exempt Orgs (Form 990) partnerships (Form 1065), and corporations (Form 1120 and 1120-S) </li><li>Contribute to tax research and identify planning opportunities </li><li>Perform tax compliance work with attention to accuracy and timeliness </li><li>Communicate with clients and help manage engagement expectations </li><li>Support the training, supervision, and development of junior staff </li><li>Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulations relevant to assigned industries</li></ul><h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM a plus CPA license (or CPA eligibility and active pursuit) </li><li>Minimum 3+ years of public accounting tax experience </li><li>Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and partnership/corporate tax regulations </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and deliver high-quality work </li><li>Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 1065 and/or 1120 </li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, and research skills</li></ul><h2><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></h2><ul><li>Exposure to private company tax compliance and consulting </li><li>Proven ability to mentor and lead junior staff </li><li>Familiarity with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Strong organizational skills and client service orientation</li></ul>

Individuals in these roles are expected to think beyond day-to-day HR activities and support and contribute to real business decisions and strategic planning.
