p>Responsibilities of the Deployed Support Specialist include: • Provide network technical advice and assistance during planning phases of deployments/exercises • Deliver rapid, expert troubleshooting and coordination of solutions during live execution phases • Support and administer enterprise network components, including: • Routers & switches • Firewalls • Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) • DNS, Active Directory (AD), and Exchange • Perform system configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for deployed USMC units • Assist in developing and delivering Information Assurance (IA) training for deploying units • Provide direct support to the D-30 deployment readiness process • Identify required hardware (HW) and software (SW) for each mission and coordinate procurement and transport • Coordinate foreign country clearance requests, obtain visas, and ensure readiness for OCONUS travel • Document deployment outcomes using government-provided templates and conduct post-deployment reviews • Manage the return, restock, and accountability of unused/reusable equipment • Support import/export requirements and obtain necessary permits for mission systems • Collaborate with regional leads across 14 regions consisting of network engineering and operations personnel • Engage regularly with traveling field/base network engineers supporting military network environments.
Must possess:
CompTIA Security+ CE (IAT Level II) OEM network support certification, such as Cisco CCNA (preferred) Experience with Cisco-based environments, routing, switching, and deployed communications support Active Secret Clearance.
