The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of embedded software solutions for both existing and new products, including new hardware bring-up, low-level hardware/software integration, and support of microcontroller-based embedded systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working close to the hardware and can efficiently diagnose and resolve low-level issues involving microcontrollers, memory, interfaces, sensors, and communication devices.
Overview: SSOE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to support the design and optimization of HVAC systems for mission-critical data centers.
Perform CFD simulations using tools such as Cadence (e.g., Fidelity/Pointwise or similar) to analyze airflow, temperature distribution, pressure gradients, and cooling effectiveness within data center environments.
p>• Perform verification planning • Testbench development using UVM methodologies • Implement functional verification of mixed-signal ASICs • Failure analysis and resolution • Coverage analysis and population • Digital-mixed-signal modeling • Develop directed constraint-random test generation gate-simulations • Regression debug support and other flow infrastructure development. Able to work closely with digital-analog designers, applications engineers, and manufacturing test to support both pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation efforts Knowledge of signal processing and Verilog Assertions Ability to create, evaluate, debug, and improve verification processes Ability to mentor junior engineers in verification methodology.
