Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred; 5+ years in a leadership role with supervisory responsibilities; 5+ years of progressive responsibility in event management, parks and recreation, community engagement, or a related area; Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; Strong interpersonal, and customer service skills; Experience in strategic planning and budget preparation, a plus; Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; Proficiency in creating presentations and delivering ideas effectively; Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive city vehicles is required; Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs; Must have the ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions; Must be able to do physical labor as needed for event set up and tear down.
