The Specialty Nurse (RN) facilitates communication among care teams, supports families during complex and emotional decision-making moments, serves as a key liaison between hospital care teams and Infinite Legacy (Organ Procurement Organization), and helps guide clinical workflows, support family-centered discussions, and ensure timely identification and management of potential donors. In addition, the Organ Donation Coordinator promotes awareness and education related to organ, eye, and tissue donation across the hospital and supports quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring related to donation activities.
