Under general direction of the Regulatory Compliance Supervisor, the Regulatory Compliance Technician works independently, performing a wide variety of technical duties associated with stormwater, wastewater and water quality environmental and safety compliance programs, to include but not limited to, maintaining a variety of environmental programs and plans; promoting compliance of city ordinances, and state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to water distribution and wastewater collection; conducting field inspections and evaluating compliance matters; and executing enforcement actions, as necessary, such as issuing citations for noncompliance. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining water quality flushing, and water sampling programs and for maintaining a variety of wastewater and environmental water quality related programs, to include but limited to the following: Drinking Water Monitoring Plan, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan, Industrial and Municipal Stormwater Programs, Backflow Cross-Connection Control Program, Pretreatment Program, and the Total Maximum Daily Loading Program.
