Scope & Impact - Supports a highly regulated diagnostic imaging service line with federal and accreditation requirements - Direct impact on patient safety, timely diagnosis, compliance metrics, and audit readiness - Coordinates care among patients, radiologists, technologists, navigators, and support staff - Does not perform clinical interpretation, diagnosis, or treatment decisions Essential Functions - Track dense breast, high-risk, recall, and biopsy patients using Epic mammography tracking tools - Schedule additional mammography views, breast ultrasound, MRI, biopsies, and follow-up imaging according to protocols - Ensure timely patient follow-up and escalate delayed or missed appointments - Support compliance with MQSA (FDA), ACR, and dense breast notification requirements - Enter and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record - Generate and track patient result letters and biopsy outcomes - Answer patient calls and voicemails and provide professional, empathetic customer service - Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Decision-Making Level Makes independent scheduling and prioritization decisions within established department protocols.
