Essential Functions As a Nursing Assistant II, you will: • Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs • Provide routine treatments and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment • Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges • Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and other assigned measurements • Accurately document patient information per Orlando Health policies • Communicate changes or concerns to the RN or care team • Participate in handoff reports and purposeful hourly rounding • Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, and team members • Maintain patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality at all times • Transport equipment, specimens, medications (excluding controlled substances and IV chemo), and supplies as needed • Answer patient call lights, phones, and guest requests promptly • Demonstrate competency in unit-specific skills and tasks. Education & Training Requirements Candidates must meet one of the following: • High school diploma or equivalent AND at least one year of nursing assistant experience within the past five years • Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant program • State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification • State of Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing • Medical Corpsman, EMT, paramedic, or licensed medical personnel outside the U.S. Licensure/Certification • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.
