Certificate as a Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants(AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Health career Association (NHA),American Registry of Medical Assistant (ARMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) OR Certified as a Registered Medical Assistant OR Completion of a Cook County Medical Assistant Training Program prior to starting employment, is required. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
