Desired Qualifications include a specific interest in the One Health concept and/or experience working on One Health issues, excellence in didactic classroom or group instruction, exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, commitment to collaboration, professional development, and pursuit of opportunities designed to enhance the undergraduate student learning experience, current or recent employment in a public or population health field, and/or specific board certifications relating to public health and/or preventive medicine such as American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (ACVPM) or Certified in Public Health (CPH). Responsibilities: The successful candidate in this 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position will be responsible for instruction of: 1) preventive medicine, food safety, zoonotic disease, disaster management and other aspects of public health to pre-clinical veterinary professional students; 2) introductory and advanced undergraduate public health courses in chronic and infectious diseases, social and behavioral health, environmental health, epidemiology, policy, and health systems.
