The Pediatric Nurse will regularly communicate with both internal and external parties (i.e., caregivers and children, primary care and specialist providers, school health staff, pharmacists, insurance companies, etc.) to provide guideline-based asthma care, and will provide ongoing education and support to internal/external parties around asthma care through Zoom, telephone, and in-person (homes, schools, etc.) communication. Position requires the ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills in communicating with adult subjects and their families, their health care providers, and hospital staff at Strong, Highland and RGH, and a willingness to develop the logistics of subject enrollment, persistence and flexibility in assuring on-going subject cooperation and good data collection skills.
