OEC certification; + 5 years patrol experience; + Must speak and write in English fluently; + Proficient in Microsoft Office; + Proficient in Microsoft Office; + Able to work weekends and holidays as required; + Must be able to ski/ride at a professional skier level in all snow and weather conditions, daily; + Be able to lift (and ski/ride with) a minimum of 50 lbs daily, if the opportunity presents itself; + Must have frequent ability to lift, stand, walk, sit, and maneuver in all climate conditions on mountain; + Must have full dexterity of hands and fingers to feel and maneuver in cold temperatures; + Ability to reach with hands/arms; + Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in all weather conditions; + Ability to communicate with our guests verbally - listening and talking in a calm manner; + Must have good vision (corrected or not corrected) – with ability to see up-close, in the distance, peripheral, depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus. + Educates staff on safe workplace practices and actively works to minimize staff injury by conveying importance of appropriate decision making and risk reduction; + Assumes leadership role in major incidences including accidents, lift issues, special events, guest confrontations, or missing skier searches; + Oversees mountain maintenance issues including closures, slope and trail conditions, protective padding, and general appearance of ski area; + Provides management assistance for Mountain Safety team leaders with their staff as needed; + Represents management as an approachable, empathetic and responsive team in handling of issues that affect either personal life or professional life of staff; + Other duties as assigned.
