Your primary responsibility will be reaching out to referred patients to schedule consultations and procedures in a timely, professional manner.Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>2 years of medical scheduling experience</li><li>English</li><li>Bilingual (Preferred)</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Greet callers warmly & provide courteous service</li><li>Understand the responsibility of serving as the first point of contact for patients at our practice</li><li>Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially when dealing with highly sensitive medical information</li><li>Answers calls within three-four rings</li><li>When scheduling patients, be sure to add and update demographics and insurance information for patients thoroughly & accurately</li><li>Confirm, cancel, reschedule and update patient appointments at request of patient and/or provider</li><li>Use the EMR system to match physician/clinician availability with the patient's needs and preferences in terms of date and time</li><li>Able to accurately schedule appointments based on clinic and practice guidelines and specifications</li><li>Maintain and regularly update scheduling systems so patient records are accurate and complete and can be used to analyze patient/staffing needs and patterns</li><li>Communicates as needed with physicians/clinicians and other staff about any patient concerns/issues related to scheduling.
