Four years as a RN with a minimum of two years in surgical services role, supervisory/charge experience preferred; applicants must have a strong working knowledge of equipment used in the Operating Room, including how to safely utilize and maintain the electrosurgical unit, various light sources, scopes, sterilizers, surgical tables, etc. Monitor department to ensure complete compliance with established department, unit, and hospital policies and procedures, accrediting agency requirements, as well as objectives regarding quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control; interpret these policies, procedures, and objectives to subordinate personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public as appropriate.
