Examples of Duties Assists with the implementation of recreational activities including, but not limited to, athletics, special events, early childhood, community programs, outdoor recreation, fitness/wellness, open gym, and other program areas Assists with participant supervision; enforces program rules and policies; provides instruction to participants as needed; provides high quality customer service to all patrons of the department Assists with the supervisor of recreation and parks facilities; oversees specific activity areas within the Hopewell Community Center; assists with facility management at outdoor locations like parks, playgrounds, and athletic facilities Assists with organizing and preparing activity supplies; performs set-up and break-down activities with tables, chairs, canopies, sound equipment and other related activity equipment; ensures all equipment is accounted for and returned to appropriate storage location Maintains facility cleanliness and assists with custodial duties as needed. Abilities: Ability to work varying shifts depending on programmatic needs of the department Ability to work directly with the general public in a variety of program settings Ability to complete physically demanding work assignments Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
