Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, mechanical, or similar disciplines.10+ years experience with a strong background in design/analysis/construction of large and complex steel structural systems (i.e. launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, oil/gas structures, movable structures, steel bridges and platforms, etc).Experience in structural and mechanical analysis utilizing FEA tools (STAAD and ANSYS preferred).Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded connections. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

As part of a dedicated, cross-functional team - working alongside the Senior Marine Electrical Engineer, the Technical Lead (Analyst / Naval Architect), the Marine I&C Engineer, the Marine Fluids Engineer, a team of Project Construction Managers - you will own the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of cryogenic, pneumatic, and fluid systems for Blue Origin's marine recovery vessels, including a purpose-built new construction vessel.
p>Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering • Minimum 5 years of experience with complex electrical design, operations, and maintenance • Recent facility development or management experience supporting mission-critical operations • Experience in subcontract management of suppliers including requests for proposal, specifications, and statements of work • Strong project management, budget management, and team leadership skills • Demonstrated project planning, schedule development, and cost estimation capabilities • Experience meeting ambitious deadlines by prioritizing concurrent tasks, developing work plans, and fostering communication between staff members, vendors, and managers across numerous departments • Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations.
Desired Qualifications:
• Florida Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain FL PE certification in a timely manner • System safety analysis experience including Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) • Experience with failure investigations • Experience supporting proposal evaluations • Knowledge of systems engineering practices, manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, and quality control • Experience with shipyard electrical installation and commissioning • Familiarity with ABS and USCG electrical classification requirements for new construction.
