Responsibilities:Ensure construction progresses as scheduled and contract specifications are followedCoordinate with mechanical field superintendent on schedule, progress and technical needsManage material procurement in coordination with field and design needsManage computer-assisted drafting team for coordination of utilities and layoutsReview Engineering drawings, construction contract requirements, and material specificationsGenerate client required submittals for material and methods usedEnsure documentation of progress, project closeout, and variations is maintained throughout entire construction phaseCoordinate and liaise with local subcontractors for life safety systems or other non-electrical tradesInspects construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveriesRequirements:Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearanceAbility to relocate to the international project site for 2-4 yearsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work with project office staff and field personnelAbility to self-motivate and work independentlyStrong computer skills are requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with all levels of the organizationAbility to speak, read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishPreferences:Experience in highly technical Department of Defense or Department of State projectsExperience leading a successful DOD, COE, NAVFAC, or DOS project overseasPhysical Demands:To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overheadHave the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, bend, balance and twist for extended periodsHave the ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 75 poundsPossess the manual dexterity to utilize and operate construction tools and/or construction equipment and machineryPossess physical agility and mobility, to include safely maneuvering throughout the job siteTo perform the duties of this job, the employeeMust be able to work 60-hours/week, six days/week, 10 hours/dayMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrationWill have occasional exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites including frequent loud noisesMust be comfortable with regular work near moving mechanical parts and outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphaltB.L.
