Responsible for overseeing Athletics, Student Council, and Clubs: oversee athletic, cocurricular and extracurricular programs; serve as the school representative at AIA meetings; hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches, sponsors, and volunteers; maintain the athletic budget; oversee equipment ordering/repair/supplies; coordinate athletic schedules/games; oversee athletic, co-curricular, and extracurricular events; coordinate transportation for athletic, co-curricular, and extracurricular events; supervise game and event workers; oversee equipment ordering/repair/supplies; monitor student eligibility including injuries and conformance to code of conduct; supervise the Equipment Manager and Athletic Trainer; oversee summer/off season athletic programs; coordinate sports photos; and serve as the liaison with Booster Clubs. Specific knowledgebased competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: knowledge of classroom management, collaboration, communication, curriculum development, lesson planning, curriculum management software, curriculum mapping, education technology, instruction, leadership, pedagogy, andragogy, and training skills; knowledge of federal, state, county, local, and District codes; knowledge of federal, state, county, local, and district policies, regulations, and laws; knowledge of athletics, coaching, training, and competition; and knowledge of student government and clubs.
