Performs skill-level appropriate PM tasks on a dry fire suppression system Assists in troubleshooting / repairing issues with fire suppression system, including pump controls, alarm panels, and tamper switches Electrical / Electronic: Installs new 120-volt and 277-volt circuits to power equipment (wall switches, appliances, light fixtures, small motors, breakers, disconnects, GFI protection, etc.) Identifies / repairs moderately complex electrical problems with production equipment electrical systems (PLC and computer control systems, variable frequency drives, motor controls, etc.) Applies understanding of complex control sequences to identify system failures / problems Troubleshoots / repairs facility power distribution systems (distribution panels, motor control centers, equipment power panels, etc.) Troubleshoots / repairs / assists higher-level technicians on main power systems (main breakers, power transformers, fuses, ground fault systems, phase failure systems, current transformers in 480-volt systems, etc.) Troubleshoots / repairs / replaces lighting fixtures and power supplies Troubleshoots / repairs / replaces components in power distribution panels, motor control centers, and equipment power panels Troubleshoots PLC networks and associated systems and equipment (proximity switches, scales, photo eyes, power supplies, I/O card, etc. Assists higher-level technicians to install / troubleshoot / repair any facility mechanical equipment or systems Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Performs pump down, pressure discharge, and isolation procedures to make systems safe prior to maintenance activities Troubleshoots / repairs / replaces major facility equipment components (hydraulic power packs, air compressor systems, battery changers, cranes, elevators, compactors, etc.) Performs PM tasks on compactor units, air compressors, hydraulic or pneumatic driven equipment, battery changing machines, and hydraulic power packs Performs skill-level appropriate PM tasks on hydraulic and pneumatic power systems and facility operating equipment Trains / assists lower-level technicians to troubleshoot / repair less complex equipment components Assists higher-level technicians to troubleshoot / repair more complex hydraulic or pneumatic system failures Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation: Evaluates systems for proper operation and efficiency using manifold gauges, thermometers, manometers, etc.
