p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Skill in use of first aid procedures • Ability to write reports containing technical information • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing • Ability to complete moderately complex administrative paperwork • Ability to gather and organize legal evidence • Skill in completing criminal investigations • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations • Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods and university policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Patrol university property in a vehicle, on foot or bicycle to provide security • Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service • Assist Patrol Officer with scheduling and approving reports • Perform campus patrol, victim/witness assistance or as crime prevention officer • May provide first aid services until medical assistance arrives • Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned • Complete reports as necessary on fire alarms, incidents, thefts, etc.
