p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Assist plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and other mechanical journeymen, in major repairs and maintenance; which may involve following blueprints and written instructionsā¢ Lubricate, clean, and paint mechanical equipmentā¢ Clean machinery, appurtenances and mechanical spacesā¢ Build, install, and repair walls, ceilings and floorsā¢ Perform wall patching and paintingā¢ Assist in moving and setting up of furniture; as well as, other equipment and machineryā¢ Maintain and repair maintenance toolsā¢ Perform all routine preventative maintenance inspection and adhere to set timetables for completionā¢ Operate, troubleshoot, install, and repair all equipment and systemsā¢ Perform routine cleaning including washing, stripping and buffing floors, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, emptying trash, vacuuming carpets, dusting and replenishing paper suppliesā¢ Perform receiving, mail distribution, and courier servicesā¢ Maintain records and pertinent dataā¢ Maintain spare parts inventoryā¢ Perform other duties as required.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the supervisor or designee, the Maintenance Technician performs semi-skilled building and equipment maintenance and construction tasks, The Maintenance Technician assists technicians on major repairs or new construction, installs, repairs, modifies, and maintains a variety of equipment and electro-mechanical systems used including ancillary and laboratory equipment.
