Performs delivery of patient care; draws blood, starts IVs, may administer prescribed injections, assist with ambulation and transfer, specimen collection for urine, sputum, feces and phlebotomy; acquisition of 12-lead EKGs; assisting patients with personal care needs, documentation of clinical tests results; completion of all daily/weekly/monthly checklists; performance of wound asepsis. High School diploma or GED equivalent EMT-Paramedic Certification required CPR Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certifications a plus Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an acute care environment is required.
