Package Handler Jobs

Package handlers are responsible for loading and unloading sorted packages, generally in a fast-paced, noisy environment. They may also transfer and deliver goods to intended destinations, operate heavy machinery, and perform heavy lifting.

A typical day in the life of a package handler might include:
• Sorting packages for delivery, either by hand or with a forklift
• Inspecting packages to ensure they are ready to ship
• Using staple guns, heat sealers, box sealing tape, stretch wrap, and other tools to prepare packages for shipping
• Handling fragile or hazardous materials in accordance with company safety procedures.
